About Me
I'm an experienced IT professional re-entering the workforce after 12 years as a stay-at-home dad. I have renewed purpose and passion, and I want to leverage my experience while embracing the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Like many, I viewed the emergence of AI into daily life with some skepticism. Was it just a passing trend, or was it here to stay? As I watched it evolve into a technology that's reshaping our world, for better or worse, I felt called to be part of the movement applying AI to make life better.
Whether it's helping small businesses harness AI to grow and serve customers more effectively, or applying machine learning on edge devices to make real-time, intelligent decisions in the field, I want to be where innovation meets impact.
What Sets Me Apart
- Fresh Perspective with Deep Experience: The fresh drive of someone embarking on a new chapter, combined with the grounded insight from over 20 years in IT
- Hands-On Machine Learning: Through the UCSD bootcamp in machine learning engineering I have gained practical experience with data preparation, model training, and deployment
- Full-Stack Hardware Integration: Background in mechanical design, PCB engineering, and embedded systems—perfect for edge AI applications where hardware and software converge
- Collaborative Problem Solver: Proven track record of leading and participating in diverse teams, respecting legacy systems while exploring innovative solutions
- Real-World Focus: Passionate about building systems that are not just functional, but forward-thinking and practical
More than anything, I want to be part of a team where my contributions matter, where I can help build systems that make a real difference. Let's connect, especially if you're building something innovative with AI or passionate about driving business forward by harnessing the power of technology.

Portfolio
Here are some of my projects. I will be adding more to this section as I get them ready for presentation.
Malignant Network Traffic Predictor
This was my capstone project for the UCSD Extended Studies Machine Learning Engineering & AI Bootcamp. I used ML algorithms trained on labeled network traffic records to determine whether network traffic was likely benign (i.e. not a cyber attack) versus malignant (i.e. a likely cyber attack).
